White Wedding Cupcakes

Here is my recipe for my favorite white cupcakes!  My family loves them.  I did regular and jumbo size cupcakes!!!!  I also swirled in food coloring for a little extra flare!!

White Wedding Cupcakes


1 package white cake mix (any brand – 18.25 ounce)

1 Cup All-Purpose Flour

1 Cup White Sugar

¾ teaspoon salt


1 1/3 Cups Water

1 Cup Sour Cream

2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

4 egg whites



  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.  Grease or line muffin pan with muffin liners
  2. Stir together the white cake mix, flour, sugar, and salt in mixer.  Pour in the water, sour cream, vegetable oil, almond and vanilla extracts, and egg whites.  Beat on low until mixed and moistened.
  3. Pour 2/3 full into prepared cupcake pan.  Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden brown and toothpick inserted comes out clean.  Allow to fully cool prior to frosting.  Makes about 3 dozen regular size cupcakes.
